If you have an idea for a new segment or program, please read Sunshine FM’s programming policy, then complete and submit the Program Proposal form. A link to the form is at the end of this section.
Before proceeding, please read the important information below.
Your proposal needs to be more than an idea. It should be well thought through and clearly address elements such as programming objectives, resourcing, and compatibility with Sunshine FM’s existing format. Please keep in mind that we are not a Talk radio station. We are a ‘more music’ station and our high levels of listener satisfaction are built on a commitment to music-based programming for a mature audience.
Proposals must include audio samples of presenter voice work and the program concept. You need to provide a demo reel, in other words. This material should be in mp3 format. It can be emailed or if the file is too large, linked (via third-party service providers such as Dropbox) to programs@sunshinefm.com.au.
Preference is given to proposals from within our coverage area. On-air presenters are required to be a Member of the Sunshine FM Radio Association Inc.
Proposals are reviewed by a Program Committee which meets quarterly and makes recommendations to station management. We will let you know the outcome of your proposal. Depending on meeting cycles, this could take at least 12 weeks.
Sunshine FM is under no obligation to accept or proceed with proposals. By submitting a proposal, you accept that ideas and concepts included in your proposal may, in part or whole, be present in existing or future Sunshine FM programming and that you will have no claim or entitlement whatsoever in relation to that programming content.
Incomplete proposal forms will be returned. If a proposal is declined, we will consider the matter closed.
